The temple was constructed in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, following a landmark Supreme Court verdict.

Located at the believed birthplace of Lord Ram, the temple, built on the site of the demolished 16th-century Babri Masjid, was hailed as the start of a "new era".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with religious leaders, performed the rituals to consecrate the idol of Ram Lalla in the temple's inner sanctum.

The event was attended by thousands of guests, including top politicians, business leaders, Bollywood celebrities, and spiritual leaders.

The event was widely celebrated across India and among the diaspora worldwide.

The inauguration marked the culmination of a long-standing legal and social dispute, with the temple now open for devotees.
