ឯកំ សមយំ ភគវា រាជគហេ វិហរតិ គិជ្ឈកូដេ បព្ពតេ សូករខតាយំ។ តត្រ ខោ ភគវា អាយស្មន្តំ សារិបុត្តំ អាមន្តេសិ:
At one time the Buddha was staying near Rājagaha, on the Vulture’s Peak Mountain in the Boar’s Cave. Then the Buddha said to Venerable Sāriputta:
“កិំ នុ ខោ, សារិបុត្ត, អត្ថវសំ សម្បស្សមានោ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតី”តិ?
“Sāriputta, considering what benefit does a bhikkhu with defilements ended, while still alive, continue to show utmost devotion for the Realized One or his instructions?”
“អនុត្តរញ្ហិ, ភន្តេ, យោគក្ខេមំ សម្បស្សមានោ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតី”តិ។
“Sir, it is considering the supreme sanctuary from the yoke that a bhikkhu with defilements ended, while still alive, continues to show utmost devotion for the Realized One or his instructions.”
“សាធុ សាធុ, សារិបុត្ត។ អនុត្តរញ្ហិ, សារិបុត្ត, យោគក្ខេមំ សម្បស្សមានោ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតិ។
“Good, good, Sāriputta! For it is considering the supreme sanctuary from the yoke that a bhikkhu whose defilements are ended, while still alive, continues to show utmost devotion for the Realized One or his instructions.
កតមោ ច, សារិបុត្ត, អនុត្តរោ យោគក្ខេមោ យំ សម្បស្សមានោ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតី”តិ?
And what is that supreme sanctuary from the yoke?”
“ឥធ, ភន្តេ, ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ សទ្ធិន្ទ្រិយំ ភាវេតិ ឧបសមគាមិំ សម្ពោធគាមិំ, វីរិយិន្ទ្រិយំ ភាវេតិ …បេ… សតិន្ទ្រិយំ ភាវេតិ … សមាធិន្ទ្រិយំ ភាវេតិ … បញ្ញិន្ទ្រិយំ ភាវេតិ ឧបសមគាមិំ សម្ពោធគាមិំ។ អយំ ខោ, ភន្តេ, អនុត្តរោ យោគក្ខេមោ យំ សម្បស្សមានោ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតី”តិ។
“It’s when a bhikkhu with defilements ended develops the faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, samādhi, and wisdom, which lead to peace and awakening. It is considering this supreme sanctuary from the yoke that a bhikkhu with defilements ended, while still alive, continues to show utmost devotion for the Realized One or his instructions.”
“សាធុ សាធុ, សារិបុត្ត។ ឯសោ ហិ, សារិបុត្ត, អនុត្តរោ យោគក្ខេមោ យំ សម្បស្សមានោ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតីតិ។
“Good, good, Sāriputta! For this is that supreme sanctuary from the yoke.
កតមោ ច, សារិបុត្ត, បរមនិបច្ចការោ យំ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតី”តិ?
And what is that utmost devotion that a bhikkhu with defilements ended, while still alive, continues to show towards the Realized One or his instructions?”
“ឥធ, ភន្តេ, ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ សត្ថរិ សគារវោ វិហរតិ សប្បតិស្សោ, ធម្មេ សគារវោ វិហរតិ សប្បតិស្សោ, សង្ឃេ សគារវោ វិហរតិ សប្បតិស្សោ, សិក្ខាយ សគារវោ វិហរតិ សប្បតិស្សោ, សមាធិស្មិំ សគារវោ វិហរតិ សប្បតិស្សោ។ អយំ ខោ, ភន្តេ, បរមនិបច្ចការោ យំ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតី”តិ។
“It’s when a bhikkhu with defilements ended maintains respect and reverence for the Teacher, the teaching, the Saṅgha, the training, and samādhi. This is that utmost devotion.”
“សាធុ សាធុ, សារិបុត្ត។ ឯសោ ហិ, សារិបុត្ត, បរមនិបច្ចការោ យំ ខីណាសវោ ភិក្ខុ តថាគតេ វា តថាគតសាសនេ វា បរមនិបច្ចការំ បវត្តមានោ បវត្តតី”តិ។
“Good, good, Sāriputta! For this is that utmost devotion that a bhikkhu with defilements ended, while still alive, continues to show towards the Realized One or his instructions.”
