အထ ခေါ ရာဇာ ပသေနဒိ ကောသလော ယေန ဘဂဝါ တေနုပသင်္ကမိ; ဥပသင်္ကမိတွာ ဘဂဝန္တံ အဘိဝါဒေတွာ ဧကမန္တံ နိသီဒိ၊ ဧကမန္တံ နိသိန္နော ခေါ ရာဇာ ပသေနဒိ ကောသလော ဘဂဝန္တံ ဧတဒဝေါစ: “ကတိ နု ခေါ, ဘန္တေ, ပုရိသဿ ဓမ္မာ အဇ္ဈတ္တံ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇမာနာ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇန္တိ အဟိတာယ ဒုက္ခာယ အဖာသုဝိဟာရာယာ”တိ?
Then King Pasenadi of Kosala went up to the Buddha, bowed, sat down to one side, and said to the Buddha, “Sir, how many things arise inside a person for their harm, suffering, and discomfort?”
“တယော ခေါ, မဟာရာဇ, ပုရိသဿ ဓမ္မာ အဇ္ဈတ္တံ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇမာနာ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇန္တိ အဟိတာယ ဒုက္ခာယ အဖာသုဝိဟာရာယ၊ ကတမေ တယော? လောဘော ခေါ, မဟာရာဇ, ပုရိသဿ ဓမ္မော အဇ္ဈတ္တံ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇမာနော ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇတိ အဟိတာယ ဒုက္ခာယ အဖာသုဝိဟာရာယ၊ ဒေါသော ခေါ, မဟာရာဇ, ပုရိသဿ ဓမ္မော အဇ္ဈတ္တံ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇမာနော ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇတိ အဟိတာယ ဒုက္ခာယ အဖာသုဝိဟာရာယ၊ မောဟော ခေါ, မဟာရာဇ, ပုရိသဿ ဓမ္မော အဇ္ဈတ္တံ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇမာနော ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇတိ အဟိတာယ ဒုက္ခာယ အဖာသုဝိဟာရာယ၊ ဣမေ ခေါ, မဟာရာဇ, တယော ပုရိသဿ ဓမ္မာ အဇ္ဈတ္တံ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇမာနာ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇန္တိ အဟိတာယ ဒုက္ခာယ အဖာသုဝိဟာရာယာ”တိ၊
“Great king, three things arise inside a person for their harm, suffering, and discomfort. What three? Greed, hate, and delusion. These three things arise inside a person for their harm, suffering, and discomfort.”

That is what the Buddha said. …
“လောဘော ဒေါသော စ မောဟော စ, ပုရိသံ ပါပစေတသံ; ဟိံသန္တိ အတ္တသမ္ဘူတာ, တစသာရံဝ သမ္ဖလန်”တိ၊
“When greed, hate, and delusion, have arisen inside oneself, they harm a person of wicked heart, as a reed is destroyed by its own fruit.”
