သာဝတ္ထိနိဒါနံ၊
At Sāvatthī.
“စတ္တာရောမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဩဃာ၊ ကတမေ စတ္တာရော? ကာမောဃော, ဘဝေါဃော, ဒိဋ္ဌောဃော, အဝိဇ္ဇောဃော—ဣမေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတ္တာရော ဩဃာ၊
“Bhikkhus, there are these four floods. What four? The floods of sensuality, desire to be reborn, views, and ignorance. These are the four floods.
ဣမေသံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, စတုန္နံ ဩဃာနံ အဘိညာယ ပရိညာယ ပရိက္ခယာယ ပဟာနာယ …ပေ… အယံ အရိယော အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကော မဂ္ဂေါ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗော”တိ၊
The noble eightfold path should be developed for the direct knowledge, complete understanding, finishing, and giving up of these four floods.”
