With Mahānāma
กปิลวตฺถุนิทานํฯ เอกมนฺตํ นิสินฺนํ โข มหานามํ สกฺกํ ภควา เอตทโวจ:
At Kapilavatthu. Seated to one side, the Buddha said to Mahānāma the Sakyan:
“จตูหิ โข, มหานาม, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อริยสาวโก โสตาปนฺโน โหติ …เป… สมฺโพธิปรายโณฯ
“Mahānāma, a noble disciple who has four things is a stream-enterer …”
กตเมหิ จตูหิ? อิธ, มหานาม, อริยสาวโก พุทฺเธ …เป… ธมฺเม …เป… สงฺเฆ …เป… อริยกนฺเตหิ สีเลหิ สมนฺนาคโต โหติ อขณฺเฑหิ …เป… สมาธิสํวตฺตนิเกหิฯ อิเมหิ โข, มหานาม, จตูหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อริยสาวโก โสตาปนฺโน โหติ อวินิปาตธมฺโม นิยโต สมฺโพธิปรายโณ”ติฯ
