กปิลวตฺถุนิทานํฯ เอกมนฺตํ นิสินฺนํ โข ภทฺทิยํ สกฺกํ ภควา เอตทโวจ:
At Kapilavatthu. Seated to one side, the Buddha said to Bhaddiya the Sakyan:
“จตูหิ โข, ภทฺทิย, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อริยสาวโก โสตาปนฺโน โหติ อวินิปาตธมฺโม นิยโต สมฺโพธิปรายโณฯ
“Bhaddiya, a noble disciple who has four things is a stream-enterer …”
กตเมหิ จตูหิ? อิธ, ภทฺทิย, อริยสาวโก พุทฺเธ …เป… ธมฺเม …เป… สงฺเฆ …เป… อริยกนฺเตหิ สีเลหิ สมนฺนาคโต โหติ อขณฺเฑหิ …เป… สมาธิสํวตฺตนิเกหิฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภทฺทิย, จตูหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต อริยสาวโก โสตาปนฺโน โหติ อวินิปาตธมฺโม นิยโต สมฺโพธิปรายโณ”ติฯ
