Gone Forth When Old (2nd)
පඤ්චහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ දුල්ලභෝ වුඩ්ඪපබ්බජිතෝ. කතමේහි පඤ්චහි? දුල්ලභෝ, භික්ඛවේ, වුඩ්ඪපබ්බජිතෝ සුවචෝ, දුල්ලභෝ සුග්ගහිතග්ගාහී, දුල්ලභෝ පදක්ඛිණග්ගාහී, දුල්ලභෝ ධම්මකථිකෝ, දුල්ලභෝ විනයධරෝ. ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්චහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ දුල්ලභෝ වුඩ්ඪපබ්බජිතෝ”ති.
“Bhikkhus, it’s hard to find someone gone forth when old who has five qualities. What five? It’s hard to find someone gone forth when old who is easy to admonish, retains what they learn, and learns respectfully, who can teach the Dhamma, and has memorized the monastic law. It’s hard to find someone gone forth when old who has these five qualities.”

තස්සුද්දානං
ආවරණං රාසි අඞ්ගානි, සමයං මාතුපුත්තිකා; උපජ්ඣා ඨානා ලිච්ඡවි, කුමාරා අපරා දුවේති.
