Demons
“စတ္တာရောမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလာ သန္တော သံဝိဇ္ဇမာနာ လောကသ္မိံ၊ ကတမေ စတ္တာရော?
“Bhikkhus, these four people are found in the world. What four?
အသုရော အသုရပရိဝါရော,
A demon surrounded by demons,
အသုရော ဒေဝပရိဝါရော,
a demon surrounded by gods,
ဒေဝေါ အသုရပရိဝါရော,
a god surrounded by demons, and
ဒေဝေါ ဒေဝပရိဝါရော၊
a god surrounded by gods.
ကထဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော အသုရော ဟောတိ အသုရပရိဝါရော? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စော ပုဂ္ဂလော ဒုဿီလော ဟောတိ ပါပဓမ္မော, ပရိသာပိဿ ဟောတိ ဒုဿီလာ ပါပဓမ္မာ၊ ဧဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော အသုရော ဟောတိ အသုရပရိဝါရော၊
And how is a person a demon surrounded by demons? It’s when a person is unethical, of bad character, and their followers are the same. That’s how a person is a demon surrounded by demons.
ကထဉ္စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော အသုရော ဟောတိ ဒေဝပရိဝါရော? ဣဓ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧကစ္စော ပုဂ္ဂလော ဒုဿီလော ဟောတိ ပါပဓမ္မော, ပရိသာ စ ခွဿ ဟောတိ သီလဝတီ ကလျာဏဓမ္မာ၊ ဧဝံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပုဂ္ဂလော အသုရော ဟောတိ ဒေဝပရိဝါရော၊
And how is a person a demon surrounded by gods? It’s when a person is unethical, of bad character, but their followers are ethical, of good character. That’s how a person is a demon surrounded by gods.
