At Sāvatthī.
အထ ခေါ အာယသ္မာ အာနန္ဒော ယေန ဘဂဝါ တေနုပသင်္ကမိ; ဥပသင်္ကမိတွာ ဘဂဝန္တံ အဘိဝါဒေတွာ ဧကမန္တံ နိသီဒိ၊ ဧကမန္တံ နိသိန္နော ခေါ အာယသ္မာ အာနန္ဒော ဘဂဝန္တံ ဧတဒဝေါစ:
Then Venerable Ānanda went up to the Buddha, bowed, sat down to one side, and said to the Buddha:
“‘နိရောဓော နိရောဓော'တိ, ဘန္တေ, ဝုစ္စတိ၊ ကတမေသာနံ ခေါ, ဘန္တေ, ဓမ္မာနံ နိရောဓော ‘နိရောဓော'တိ ဝုစ္စတီ”တိ?
“Sir, they speak of ‘cessation’. The cessation of what things does this refer to?”
“ရူပံ ခေါ, အာနန္ဒ, အနိစ္စံ သင်္ခတံ ပဋိစ္စသမုပ္ပန္နံ ခယဓမ္မံ ဝယဓမ္မံ ဝိရာဂဓမ္မံ နိရောဓဓမ္မံ၊ တဿ နိရောဓော ‘နိရောဓော'တိ ဝုစ္စတိ၊
“Ānanda, form is impermanent, conditioned, dependently originated, liable to end, vanish, fade away, and cease. Its cessation is what ‘cessation’ refers to.
ဝေဒနာ အနိစ္စာ သင်္ခတာ ပဋိစ္စသမုပ္ပန္နာ ခယဓမ္မာ ဝယဓမ္မာ ဝိရာဂဓမ္မာ နိရောဓဓမ္မာ၊ တဿာ နိရောဓော ‘နိရောဓော'တိ ဝုစ္စတိ၊
