အစိရပက္ကန္တသုတ္တ
Shortly After He Left
ဧကံ သမယံ ဘဂဝါ ရာဇဂဟေ ဝိဟရတိ ဂိဇ္ဈကူဋေ ပဗ္ဗတေ အစိရပက္ကန္တေ ဒေဝဒတ္တေ၊ တတြ ခေါ ဘဂဝါ ဒေဝဒတ္တံ အာရဗ္ဘ ဘိက္ခူ အာမန္တေသိ:
At one time the Buddha was staying near Rājagaha, on the Vulture’s Peak Mountain, not long after Devadatta had left. There the Buddha spoke to the bhikkhus about Devadatta:
“အတ္တဝဓာယ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ၊
“Possessions, honor, and popularity came to Devadatta for his own ruin and downfall.
သေယျထာပိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကဒလီ အတ္တဝဓာယ ဖလံ ဒေတိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဖလံ ဒေတိ; ဧဝမေဝ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အတ္တဝဓာယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ၊ သေယျထာပိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဝေဠု အတ္တဝဓာယ ဖလံ ဒေတိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဖလံ ဒေတိ; ဧဝမေဝ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အတ္တဝဓာယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ၊ သေယျထာပိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, နဠော အတ္တဝဓာယ ဖလံ ဒေတိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဖလံ ဒေတိ; ဧဝမေဝ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အတ္တဝဓာယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ၊
It’s like a banana tree … or a bamboo … or a reed, all of which bear fruit to their own ruin and downfall …
သေယျထာပိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အဿတရီ အတ္တဝဓာယ ဂဗ္ဘံ ဂဏှာတိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဂဗ္ဘံ ဂဏှာတိ; ဧဝမေဝ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အတ္တဝဓာယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ, ပရာဘဝါယ ဒေဝဒတ္တဿ လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော ဥဒပါဒိ၊
It’s like a mule, which becomes pregnant to its own ruin and downfall. In the same way, possessions, honor, and popularity came to Devadatta for his own ruin and downfall.
ဧဝံ ဒါရုဏော ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, လာဘသက္ကာရသိလောကော၊ ဧဝဉှိ ဝေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သိက္ခိတဗ္ဗန်”တိ၊
So brutal are possessions, honor, and popularity. That’s how you should train.”
ဣဒမဝေါစ ဘဂဝါ၊ ဣဒံ ဝတွာန သုဂတော အထာပရံ ဧတဒဝေါစ သတ္ထာ:
That is what the Buddha said. Then the Holy One, the Teacher, went on to say:
“ဖလံ ဝေ ကဒလိံ ဟန္တိ, ဖလံ ဝေဠုံ ဖလံ နဠံ; သက္ကာရော ကာပုရိသံ ဟန္တိ, ဂဗ္ဘော အဿတရိံ ယထာ”တိ၊
“The banana tree is destroyed by its own fruit, as are the bamboo and the reed. Honor destroys a sinner, as pregnancy destroys a mule.”
