Obstacles to Rain
“ပဉ္စိမေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဝဿဿ အန္တရာယာ, ယံ နေမိတ္တာ န ဇာနန္တိ, ယတ္ထ နေမိတ္တာနံ စက္ခု န ကမတိ၊ ကတမေ ပဉ္စ?
“Bhikkhus, there are these five obstacles to rain, which the forecasters don’t know, and which their vision does not traverse. What five?
ဥပရိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အာကာသေ တေဇောဓာတု ပကုပ္ပတိ၊ တေန ဥပ္ပန္နာ မေဃာ ပဋိဝိဂစ္ဆန္တိ၊ အယံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ပဌမော ဝဿဿ အန္တရာယော, ယံ နေမိတ္တာ န ဇာနန္တိ, ယတ္ထ နေမိတ္တာနံ စက္ခု န ကမတိ၊
In the upper atmosphere the fire element flares up, which disperses the clouds. This is the first obstacle to rain, which the forecasters don’t know, and which their vision does not traverse.
ပုန စပရံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဥပရိ အာကာသေ ဝါယောဓာတု ပကုပ္ပတိ၊ တေန ဥပ္ပန္နာ မေဃာ ပဋိဝိဂစ္ဆန္တိ၊ အယံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဒုတိယော ဝဿဿ အန္တရာယော, ယံ နေမိတ္တာ န ဇာနန္တိ, ယတ္ထ နေမိတ္တာနံ စက္ခု န ကမတိ၊
