“တိကိစ္ဆကာ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဝိရေစနံ ဒေန္တိ ပိတ္တသမုဋ္ဌာနာနမ္ပိ အာဗာဓာနံ ပဋိဃာတာယ, သေမှသမုဋ္ဌာနာနမ္ပိ အာဗာဓာနံ ပဋိဃာတာယ, ဝါတသမုဋ္ဌာနာနမ္ပိ အာဗာဓာနံ ပဋိဃာတာယ၊ အတ္ထေတံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဝိရေစနံ; ‘နေတံ နတ္ထီ'တိ ဝဒါမိ၊ တဉ္စ ခေါ ဧတံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဝိရေစနံ သမ္ပဇ္ဇတိပိ ဝိပဇ္ဇတိပိ၊
“Bhikkhus, doctors prescribe a purgative for eliminating illnesses stemming from disorders of bile, phlegm, and wind. There is such a purgative, I don’t deny it. But this kind of purgative sometimes works and sometimes fails.
အဟဉ္စ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အရိယံ ဝိရေစနံ ဒေသေဿာမိ, ယံ ဝိရေစနံ သမ္ပဇ္ဇတိယေဝ နော ဝိပဇ္ဇတိ, ယံ ဝိရေစနံ အာဂမ္မ ဇာတိဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ ဇာတိယာ ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ, ဇရာဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ ဇရာယ ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ, မရဏဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ မရဏေန ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ, သောကပရိဒေဝဒုက္ခဒေါမနဿုပါယာသဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ သောကပရိဒေဝဒုက္ခဒေါမနဿုပါယာသေဟိ ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ၊ တံ သုဏာထ, သာဓုကံ မနသိ ကရောထ, ဘာသိဿာမီ”တိ၊
I will teach a noble purgative that works without fail. Relying on that purgative, sentient beings who are liable to rebirth, old age, and death, to sorrow, lamentation, pain, sadness, and distress are freed from all these things. Listen and apply your mind well, I will speak.”
“ဧဝံ, ဘန္တေ”တိ ခေါ တေ ဘိက္ခူ ဘဂဝတော ပစ္စဿောသုံ၊ ဘဂဝါ ဧတဒဝေါစ:
“Yes, sir,” they replied. The Buddha said this:
“ကတမဉ္စ တံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အရိယံ ဝိရေစနံ, ယံ ဝိရေစနံ သမ္ပဇ္ဇတိယေဝ နော ဝိပဇ္ဇတိ, ယံ ဝိရေစနံ အာဂမ္မ ဇာတိဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ ဇာတိယာ ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ, ဇရာဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ ဇရာယ ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ, မရဏဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ မရဏေန ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ, သောကပရိဒေဝဒုက္ခဒေါမနဿုပါယာသဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ သောကပရိဒေဝဒုက္ခဒေါမနဿုပါယာသေဟိ ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ?
“And what is the noble purgative that works without fail?
သမ္မာဒိဋ္ဌိကဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မိစ္ဆာဒိဋ္ဌိ ဝိရိတ္တာ ဟောတိ; ယေ စ မိစ္ဆာဒိဋ္ဌိပစ္စယာ အနေကေ ပါပကာ အကုသလာ ဓမ္မာ သမ္ဘဝန္တိ တေ စဿ ဝိရိတ္တာ ဟောန္တိ; သမ္မာဒိဋ္ဌိပစ္စယာ စ အနေကေ ကုသလာ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝနာပါရိပူရိံ ဂစ္ဆန္တိ၊
For one of right view, wrong view is purged. And the many bad, unskillful qualities produced by wrong view are purged. And because of right view, many skillful qualities are fully developed.

For one of right thought, wrong thought is purged. … For one of right speech, wrong speech is purged. … For one of right action, wrong action is purged. … For one of right livelihood, wrong livelihood is purged. … For one of right effort, wrong effort is purged. For one of right mindfulness, wrong mindfulness is purged. … For one of right samādhi, wrong samādhi is purged. … For one of right knowledge, wrong knowledge is purged. …
သမ္မာဝိမုတ္တိဿ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မိစ္ဆာဝိမုတ္တိ ဝိရိတ္တာ ဟောတိ; ယေ စ မိစ္ဆာဝိမုတ္တိပစ္စယာ အနေကေ ပါပကာ အကုသလာ ဓမ္မာ သမ္ဘဝန္တိ တေ စဿ ဝိရိတ္တာ ဟောန္တိ; သမ္မာဝိမုတ္တိပစ္စယာ စ အနေကေ ကုသလာ ဓမ္မာ ဘာဝနာပါရိပူရိံ ဂစ္ဆန္တိ၊ ဣဒံ ခေါ တံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အရိယံ ဝိရေစနံ ယံ ဝိရေစနံ သမ္ပဇ္ဇတိယေဝ နော ဝိပဇ္ဇတိ, ယံ ဝိရေစနံ အာဂမ္မ ဇာတိဓမ္မာ သတ္တာ ဇာတိယာ ပရိမုစ္စန္တိ …ပေ… သောကပရိဒေဝဒုက္ခဒေါမနဿုပါယာသေဟိ ပရိမုစ္စန္တီ”တိ၊
For one of right freedom, wrong freedom is purged. And the many bad, unskillful qualities produced by wrong freedom are purged. And because of right freedom, many skillful qualities are fully developed. This is the noble purgative that works without fail. Relying on this purgative, sentient beings who are liable to rebirth, old age, and death, to sorrow, lamentation, pain, sadness, and distress are freed from all these things.”
