โสตาปนฺนสุตฺต
A Stream-Enterer
สาวตฺถินิทานํฯ
At Sāvatthī.
เอกมนฺตํ นิสินฺนํ โข อายสฺมนฺตํ ราธํ ภควา เอตทโวจ:
When Venerable Rādha was seated to one side, the Buddha said to him:
“ปญฺจิเม, ราธ, อุปาทานกฺขนฺธาฯ กตเม ปญฺจ? รูปุปาทานกฺขนฺโธ …เป… วิญฺญาณุปาทานกฺขนฺโธฯ ยโต โข, ราธ, อริยสาวโก อิเมสํ ปญฺจนฺนํ อุปาทานกฺขนฺธานํ สมุทยญฺจ อตฺถงฺคมญฺจ อสฺสาทญฺจ อาทีนวญฺจ นิสฺสรณญฺจ ยถาภูตํ ปชานาติ—อยํ วุจฺจติ, ราธ, อริยสาวโก โสตาปนฺโน อวินิปาตธมฺโม นิยโต สมฺโพธิปรายโน”ติฯ
“Rādha, there are these five grasping aggregates. What five? The grasping aggregates of form, feeling, perception, functioning patterns, and consciousness. When a noble disciple truly understands these five grasping aggregates’ origin, ending, gratification, drawback, and escape, they’re called a noble disciple who is a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, bound for awakening.”
