สรีรฏฺฐธมฺมสุตฺต
Existing Because of the Body
“ทสยิเม, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺมา สรีรฏฺฐาฯ กตเม ทส? สีตํ, อุณฺหํ, ชิฆจฺฉา, ปิปาสา, อุจฺจาโร, ปสฺสาโว, กายสํวโร, วจีสํวโร, อาชีวสํวโร, โปโนภวิโก ภวสงฺขาโร—อิเม โข, ภิกฺขเว, ทส ธมฺมา สรีรฏฺฐา”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, these ten things exist because of the body. What ten? Cold, heat, hunger, thirst, feces, urine, restraint of body, speech, and livelihood, and the will to live that leads to future lives. These ten things exist because of the body.”
