အထ ခေါ ဝစ္ဆဂေါတ္တော ပရိဗ္ဗာဇကော ယေန ဘဂဝါ တေနုပသင်္ကမိ; ဥပသင်္ကမိတွာ ဘဂဝတာ သဒ္ဓိံ သမ္မောဒိ၊ သမ္မောဒနီယံ ကထံ သာရဏီယံ ဝီတိသာရေတွာ ဧကမန္တံ နိသီဒိ၊ ဧကမန္တံ နိသိန္နော ခေါ ဝစ္ဆဂေါတ္တော ပရိဗ္ဗာဇကော ဘဂဝန္တံ ဧတဒဝေါစ:
Then the wanderer Vacchagotta went up to the Buddha and exchanged greetings with him. When the greetings and polite conversation were over, he sat down to one side, and said to the Buddha:
“ကော နု ခေါ, ဘော ဂေါတမ, ဟေတု, ကော ပစ္စယော, ယာနိမာနိ အနေကဝိဟိတာနိ ဒိဋ္ဌိဂတာနိ လောကေ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇန္တိ—သဿတော လောကောတိ ဝါ …ပေ… နေဝ ဟောတိ န န ဟောတိ တထာဂတော ပရံ မရဏာတိ ဝါ”တိ?
“What is the cause, Master Gotama, what is the reason why these various misconceptions arise in the world? …”
“ရူပေ ခေါ, ဝစ္ဆ, အပ္ပစ္စက္ခကမ္မာ, ရူပသမုဒယေ အပ္ပစ္စက္ခကမ္မာ, ရူပနိရောဓေ အပ္ပစ္စက္ခကမ္မာ, ရူပနိရောဓဂါမိနိယာ ပဋိပဒါယ အပ္ပစ္စက္ခကမ္မာ …ပေ…၊
