“සත්තහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ භික්ඛු නචිරස්සේව චතස්සෝ පටිසම්භිදා සයං අභිඤ්ඤා සච්ඡිකත්වා උපසම්පජ්ජ විහරේය්ය. කතමේහි සත්තහි?
“Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu with seven qualities will soon realize the four kinds of textual analysis and live having achieved them with their own insight. What seven?
ඉධ, භික්ඛවේ, භික්ඛු ‘ඉදං මේ චේතසෝ ලීනත්තන්(අ)ති යථාභූතං පජානාති;
It’s when a bhikkhu truly understands: ‘This is mental sluggishness’.
අජ්ඣත්තං සඞ්ඛිත්තං වා චිත්තං ‘අජ්ඣත්තං මේ සඞ්ඛිත්තං චිත්තන්(අ)ති යථාභූතං පජානාති;
They truly understand internally constricted mind as ‘internally constricted mind’.
බහිද්ධා වික්ඛිත්තං වා චිත්තං ‘බහිද්ධා මේ වික්ඛිත්තං චිත්තන්(අ)ති යථාභූතං පජානාති;
They truly understand externally scattered mind as ‘externally scattered mind’.
තස්ස විදිතා වේදනා උප්පජ්ජන්ති, විදිතා උපට්ඨහන්ති, විදිතා අබ්භත්ථං ගච්ඡන්ති;
They know feelings as they arise, as they remain, and as they go away.
විදිතා සඤ්ඤා උප්පජ්ජන්ති, විදිතා උපට්ඨහන්ති, විදිතා අබ්භත්ථං ගච්ඡන්ති;
They know perceptions as they arise, as they remain, and as they go away.
විදිතා විතක්කා උප්පජ්ජන්ති, විදිතා උපට්ඨහන්ති, විදිතා අබ්භත්ථං ගච්ඡන්ති;
They know thoughts as they arise, as they remain, and as they go away.
සප්පායාසප්පායේසු ඛෝ පනස්ස ධම්මේසු හීනප්පණීතේසු කණ්හසුක්කසප්පටිභාගේසු නිමිත්තං සුග්ගහිතං හෝති සුමනසිකතං සූපධාරිතං සුප්පටිවිද්ධං පඤ්ඤාය.
The patterns of qualities—suitable or unsuitable, inferior or superior, or those on the side of dark or bright—are properly grasped, focused on, borne in mind, and comprehended with wisdom.
ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, සත්තහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ භික්ඛු නචිරස්සේව චතස්සෝ පටිසම්භිදා සයං අභිඤ්ඤා සච්ඡිකත්වා උපසම්පජ්ජ විහරේය්යා”ති.
A bhikkhu with these seven qualities will soon realize the four kinds of textual analysis and live having achieved them with their own insight.”
