“චතූහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි අසමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා පපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. කතමේහි චතූහි? අරියේන, භික්ඛවේ, සීලේන අසමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා පපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. අරියේන, භික්ඛවේ, සමාධිනා අසමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා පපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. අරියාය, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්ඤාය අසමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා පපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. අරියාය, භික්ඛවේ, විමුත්තියා අසමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා පපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, චතූහි ධම්මේහි අසමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා පපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති.
“Someone without four things is said to have ‘fallen from this teaching and training’. What four? Noble ethics, samādhi, wisdom, and freedom. Someone without these four things is said to have ‘fallen from this teaching and training’.
චතූහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා අපපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. කතමේහි චතූහි? අරියේන, භික්ඛවේ, සීලේන සමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා අපපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. අරියේන, භික්ඛවේ, සමාධිනා සමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා අපපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. අරියාය, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්ඤාය සමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා අපපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. අරියාය, භික්ඛවේ, විමුත්තියා සමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා අපපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චති. ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, චතූහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ ‘ඉමස්මා ධම්මවිනයා අපපතිතෝ(අ)ති වුච්චතීති.
Someone with four things is said to be ‘secure in this teaching and training’. What four? Noble ethics, samādhi, wisdom, and freedom. Someone with these four things is said to be ‘secure in this teaching and training’.
චුතා පතන්ති පතිතා, ගිද්ධා ච පුනරාගතා; කතං කිච්චං රතං රම්මං, සුඛේනාන්වාගතං සුඛන්”ති.
They fall, collapsed and fallen; greedy, they return. The work is done, the joyful is enjoyed, happiness is found through happiness.”
