At Sāvatthī.
ឯកមន្តំ និសិន្នោ ខោ អាយស្មា រាធោ ភគវន្តំ ឯតទវោច:
Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:
“សាធុ មេ, ភន្តេ, ភគវា សង្ខិត្តេន ធម្មំ ទេសេតុ, យមហំ ភគវតោ ធម្មំ សុត្វា ឯកោ វូបកដ្ឋោ អប្បមត្តោ អាតាបី បហិតត្តោ វិហរេយ្យន៑”តិ។
“Sir, may the Buddha please teach me Dhamma in brief. When I’ve heard it, I’ll live alone, withdrawn, diligent, keen, and resolute.”
“យោ ខោ, រាធ, មារោ; តត្រ តេ ឆន្ទោ បហាតព្ពោ, រាគោ បហាតព្ពោ, ឆន្ទរាគោ បហាតព្ពោ។ កោ ច, រាធ, មារោ? រូបំ ខោ, រាធ, មារោ; តត្រ តេ ឆន្ទោ បហាតព្ពោ, រាគោ បហាតព្ពោ, ឆន្ទរាគោ បហាតព្ពោ។
“Rādha, you should give up any desire, any greed, any desire and greed for whatever is Māra. And what is Māra? Form is Māra. You should give up any desire, any greed, any desire and greed for it.
