“ယေ ဟိ ကေစိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သမဏာ ဝါ ဗြာဟ္မဏာ ဝါ ဣမေ ဓမ္မေ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဣမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ သမုဒယံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဣမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ နိရောဓံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဣမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ နိရောဓဂါမိနိံ ပဋိပဒံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ကတမေ ဓမ္မေ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ကတမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ သမုဒယံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ကတမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ နိရောဓံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ကတမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ နိရောဓဂါမိနိံ ပဋိပဒံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ?
“Bhikkhus, there are ascetics and brahmins who don’t understand these things, their origin, their cessation, and the practice that leads to their cessation. What things don’t they understand?
ဇရာမရဏံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဇရာမရဏသမုဒယံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဇရာမရဏနိရောဓံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဇရာမရဏနိရောဓဂါမိနိံ ပဋိပဒံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ; ဇာတိံ …ပေ… ဘဝံ … ဥပါဒါနံ … တဏှံ … ဝေဒနံ … ဖဿံ … သဠာယတနံ … နာမရူပံ … ဝိညာဏံ … သင်္ခါရေ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, သင်္ခါရသမုဒယံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, သင်္ခါရနိရောဓံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, သင်္ခါရနိရောဓဂါမိနိံ ပဋိပဒံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ၊ ဣမေ ဓမ္မေ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဣမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ သမုဒယံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဣမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ နိရောဓံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ, ဣမေသံ ဓမ္မာနံ နိရောဓဂါမိနိံ ပဋိပဒံ နပ္ပဇာနန္တိ၊ န မေ တေ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သမဏာ ဝါ ဗြာဟ္မဏာ ဝါ သမဏေသု ဝါ သမဏသမ္မတာ ဗြာဟ္မဏေသု ဝါ ဗြာဟ္မဏသမ္မတာ, န စ ပန တေ အာယသ္မန္တော သာမညတ္ထံ ဝါ ဗြဟ္မညတ္ထံ ဝါ ဒိဋ္ဌေဝ ဓမ္မေ သယံ အဘိညာ သစ္ဆိကတွာ ဥပသမ္ပဇ္ဇ ဝိဟရန္တိ၊
They don’t understand old age and death, their origin, their cessation, and the practice that leads to their cessation. They don’t understand rebirth … continued existence … grasping … craving … feeling … contact … the six sense fields … name and form … consciousness … They don’t understand functioning patterns, their origin, their cessation, and the practice that leads to their cessation. They don’t understand these things, their origin, their cessation, and the practice that leads to their cessation. I don’t deem them as true ascetics and brahmins. Those venerables don’t realize the goal of life as an ascetic or brahmin, and don’t live having realized it with their own insight.

They understand old age and death, their origin, their cessation, and the practice that leads to their cessation.
