දිට්ඨධම්මනිබ්බානසුත්ත
Extinguishment in the Present Life
“‘දිට්ඨධම්මනිබ්බානං දිට්ඨධම්මනිබ්බානන්(අ)ති, ආවුසෝ, වුච්චති. කිත්තාවතා නු ඛෝ, ආවුසෝ, දිට්ඨධම්මනිබ්බානං වුත්තං භගවතා”ති?
“Friend, they speak of ‘Nibbana in the present life’. In what way did the Buddha speak of Nibbana in the present life?”
“ඉධාවුසෝ, භික්ඛු විවිච්චේව කාමේහි …පේ… පඨමං ඣානං උපසම්පජ්ජ විහරති. ඒත්තාවතාපි ඛෝ, ආවුසෝ, දිට්ඨධම්මනිබ්බානං වුත්තං භගවතා පරියායේන …පේ….
“First, take a bhikkhu who, quite secluded from sensual pleasures … enters and remains in the first jhāna. To this extent the Buddha spoke of Nibbana in the present life in a qualified sense. …
පුන චපරං, ආවුසෝ, භික්ඛු සබ්බසෝ නේවසඤ්ඤානාසඤ්ඤායතනං සමතික්කම්ම සඤ්ඤාවේදයිතනිරෝධං උපසම්පජ්ජ විහරති, පඤ්ඤාය චස්ස දිස්වා ආසවා පරික්ඛීණා හෝන්ති. ඒත්තාවතාපි ඛෝ, ආවුසෝ, දිට්ඨධම්මනිබ්බානං වුත්තං භගවතා නිප්පරියායේනා”ති.
Furthermore, take a bhikkhu who, going totally beyond the dimension of neither perception nor non-perception, enters and remains in the cessation of perception and feeling. And, having seen with wisdom, their defilements come to an end. To this extent the Buddha spoke of Nibbana in the present life in a definitive sense.”

සාමඤ්ඤවග්ගෝ පඤ්චමෝ.
තස්සුද්දානං
සම්බාධෝ කායසක්ඛී පඤ්ඤා, උභතෝභාගෝ සන්දිට්ඨිකා ද්වේ; නිබ්බානං පරිනිබ්බානං, තදඞ්ගදිට්ඨධම්මිකේන චාති.
