“යං, භික්ඛවේ, දුක්ඛං, තත්ර වෝ ඡන්දෝ පහාතබ්බෝ, රාගෝ පහාතබ්බෝ, ඡන්දරාගෝ පහාතබ්බෝ. කිඤ්ච, භික්ඛවේ, දුක්ඛං?
“Bhikkhus, you should give up desire … greed … desire and greed for what is suffering. And what is suffering?
රූපා, භික්ඛවේ, දුක්ඛා; තත්ර වෝ ඡන්දෝ පහාතබ්බෝ, රාගෝ පහාතබ්බෝ, ඡන්දරාගෝ පහාතබ්බෝ. සද්දා … ගන්ධා … රසා … ඵෝට්ඨබ්බා … ධම්මා දුක්ඛා; තත්ර වෝ ඡන්දෝ පහාතබ්බෝ, රාගෝ පහාතබ්බෝ, ඡන්දරාගෝ පහාතබ්බෝ. යං, භික්ඛවේ, දුක්ඛං, තත්ර වෝ ඡන්දෝ පහාතබ්බෝ, රාගෝ පහාතබ්බෝ, ඡන්දරාගෝ පහාතබ්බෝ”ති.
