A Noble One
“ចត្តារោមេ, ភិក្ខវេ, ឥទ្ធិបាទា ភាវិតា ពហុលីកតា អរិយា និយ្យានិកា និយ្យន្តិ តក្ករស្ស សម្មា ទុក្ខក្ខយាយ។ កតមេ ចត្តារោ? ឥធ, ភិក្ខវេ, ភិក្ខុ ឆន្ទសមាធិប្បធានសង្ខារសមន្នាគតំ ឥទ្ធិបាទំ ភាវេតិ, វីរិយសមាធិ …បេ… ចិត្តសមាធិ …បេ… វីមំសាសមាធិប្បធានសង្ខារសមន្នាគតំ ឥទ្ធិបាទំ ភាវេតិ។ ឥមេ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, ចត្តារោ ឥទ្ធិបាទា ភាវិតា ពហុលីកតា អរិយា និយ្យានិកា និយ្យន្តិ តក្ករស្ស សម្មា ទុក្ខក្ខយាយា”តិ។
“Bhikkhus, when these four bases of psychic power are developed and cultivated they are noble and emancipating, and bring one who practices them to the complete ending of suffering. What four? It’s when a bhikkhu develops the basis of psychic power that has samādhi due to enthusiasm … energy … mental development … inquiry, and active effort. When these four bases of psychic power are developed and cultivated they are noble and emancipating, and bring one who practices them to the complete ending of suffering.”
