အရဟန္တသုတ္တ
A Perfected One
“ပဉ္စိမာနိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဣန္ဒြိယာနိ၊ ကတမာနိ ပဉ္စ? သုခိန္ဒြိယံ, ဒုက္ခိန္ဒြိယံ, သောမနဿိန္ဒြိယံ, ဒေါမနဿိန္ဒြိယံ, ဥပေက္ခိန္ဒြိယံ၊ ယတော ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု ဣမေသံ ပဉ္စန္နံ ဣန္ဒြိယာနံ သမုဒယဉ္စ အတ္ထင်္ဂမဉ္စ အဿာဒဉ္စ အာဒီနဝဉ္စ နိဿရဏဉ္စ ယထာဘူတံ ဝိဒိတွာ အနုပါဒါဝိမုတ္တော ဟောတိ—
“Bhikkhus, there are these five faculties. What five? The faculties of pleasure, pain, happiness, sadness, and equanimity. A bhikkhu comes to be freed by not grasping after truly understanding these five faculties’ origin, ending, gratification, drawback, and escape.
အယံ ဝုစ္စတိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဘိက္ခု အရဟံ ခီဏာသဝေါ ဝုသိတဝါ ကတကရဏီယော ဩဟိတဘာရော အနုပ္ပတ္တသဒတ္ထော ပရိက္ခီဏဘဝသံယောဇနော သမ္မဒညာဝိမုတ္တော”တိ၊
Such a bhikkhu is called a perfected one, with defilements ended, who has completed the spiritual journey, done what had to be done, laid down the burden, achieved their own true goal, utterly ended the fetters of rebirth, and is rightly freed through enlightenment.”
