Ungrateful
“จตูหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ นิรเยฯ กตเมหิ จตูหิ? กายทุจฺจริเตน, วจีทุจฺจริเตน, มโนทุจฺจริเตน, อกตญฺญุตา อกตเวทิตา—อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, จตูหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ นิรเยฯ
“Bhikkhus, someone with four qualities is cast down to hell. What four? Bad conduct by way of body, speech, and mind, and being ungrateful and thankless. Someone with these four qualities is cast down to hell.
จตูหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ สคฺเคฯ กตเมหิ จตูหิ? กายสุจริเตน, วจีสุจริเตน, มโนสุจริเตน, กตญฺญุตา กตเวทิตา—อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, จตูหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ยถาภตํ นิกฺขิตฺโต เอวํ สคฺเค”ติฯ
Someone with four qualities is raised up to heaven. What four? Good conduct by way of body, speech, and mind, and being grateful and thankful. Someone with these four qualities is raised up to heaven.”
