“ចត្តារិមានិ, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មានិ មយា សយំ អភិញ្ញា សច្ឆិកត្វា បវេទិតានិ។ កតមានិ ចត្តារិ?
“Bhikkhus, I declare these four kinds of deeds, having realized them with my own insight. What four?
អត្ថិ, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ កណ្ហំ កណ្ហវិបាកំ;
There are dark deeds with dark results;
អត្ថិ, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ សុក្កំ សុក្កវិបាកំ;
bright deeds with bright results;
អត្ថិ, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ កណ្ហសុក្កំ កណ្ហសុក្កវិបាកំ;
dark and bright deeds with dark and bright results; and
អត្ថិ, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ អកណ្ហអសុក្កំ អកណ្ហអសុក្កវិបាកំ កម្មក្ខយាយ សំវត្តតិ។

កតមញ្ច, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ កណ្ហំ កណ្ហវិបាកំ? ឥធ, ភិក្ខវេ, ឯកច្ចោ សព្យាពជ្ឈំ កាយសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរោតិ, សព្យាពជ្ឈំ វចីសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរោតិ, សព្យាពជ្ឈំ មនោសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរោតិ។ សោ សព្យាពជ្ឈំ កាយសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរិត្វា, សព្យាពជ្ឈំ វចីសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរិត្វា, សព្យាពជ្ឈំ មនោសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរិត្វា សព្យាពជ្ឈំ លោកំ ឧបបជ្ជតិ។ តមេនំ សព្យាពជ្ឈំ លោកំ ឧបបន្នំ សមានំ សព្យាពជ្ឈា ផស្សា ផុសន្តិ។ សោ សព្យាពជ្ឈេហិ ផស្សេហិ ផុដ្ឋោ សមានោ សព្យាពជ្ឈំ វេទនំ វេទិយតិ ឯកន្តទុក្ខំ, សេយ្យថាបិ សត្តា នេរយិកា។ ឥទំ វុច្ចតិ, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ កណ្ហំ កណ្ហវិបាកំ។
And what are dark deeds with dark results? It’s when someone creates hurtful habitual functioning patterns of the body, speech, and mind. Having made these functioning patterns, they’re reborn in a hurtful world, where hurtful contacts strike them. Touched by hurtful contacts, they experience hurtful feelings that are exclusively painful—like the beings in hell. These are called dark deeds with dark results.
កតមញ្ច, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ សុក្កំ សុក្កវិបាកំ? ឥធ, ភិក្ខវេ, ឯកច្ចោ អព្យាពជ្ឈំ កាយសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរោតិ, អព្យាពជ្ឈំ វចីសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរោតិ, អព្យាពជ្ឈំ មនោសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរោតិ។ សោ អព្យាពជ្ឈំ កាយសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរិត្វា, អព្យាពជ្ឈំ វចីសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរិត្វា, អព្យាពជ្ឈំ មនោសង្ខារំ អភិសង្ខរិត្វា អព្យាពជ្ឈំ លោកំ ឧបបជ្ជតិ។ តមេនំ អព្យាពជ្ឈំ លោកំ ឧបបន្នំ សមានំ អព្យាពជ្ឈា ផស្សា ផុសន្តិ។ សោ អព្យាពជ្ឈេហិ ផស្សេហិ ផុដ្ឋោ សមានោ អព្យាពជ្ឈំ វេទនំ វេទិយតិ ឯកន្តសុខំ, សេយ្យថាបិ ទេវា សុភកិណ្ហា។ ឥទំ វុច្ចតិ, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ សុក្កំ សុក្កវិបាកំ។
And what are bright deeds with bright results? It’s when someone creates pleasing habitual functioning patterns of the body, speech, and mind. Having made these functioning patterns, they’re reborn in a pleasing world, where pleasing contacts strike them. Touched by pleasing contacts, they experience pleasing feelings that are exclusively happy—like the gods replete with glory. These are called bright deeds with bright results.

And what are dark and bright deeds with dark and bright results? It’s when someone creates both hurtful and pleasing habitual functioning patterns of the body, speech, and mind. Having made these functioning patterns, they are reborn in a world that is both hurtful and pleasing, where hurtful and pleasing contacts strike them. Touched by both hurtful and pleasing contacts, they experience both hurtful and pleasing feelings that are a mixture of pleasure and pain—like humans, some gods, and some beings in the underworld. These are called dark and bright deeds with dark and bright results.
កតមញ្ច, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ អកណ្ហអសុក្កំ អកណ្ហអសុក្កវិបាកំ កម្មក្ខយាយ សំវត្តតិ? តត្រ, ភិក្ខវេ, យមិទំ កម្មំ កណ្ហំ កណ្ហវិបាកំ តស្ស បហានាយ យា ចេតនា, យមិទំ កម្មំ សុក្កំ សុក្កវិបាកំ តស្ស បហានាយ យា ចេតនា, យមិទំ កម្មំ កណ្ហសុក្កំ កណ្ហសុក្កវិបាកំ តស្ស បហានាយ យា ចេតនា—ឥទំ វុច្ចតិ, ភិក្ខវេ, កម្មំ អកណ្ហអសុក្កំ អកណ្ហអសុក្កវិបាកំ កម្មក្ខយាយ សំវត្តតិ។
And what are neither dark nor bright deeds with neither dark nor bright results, which lead to the ending of deeds? It’s the intention to give up dark deeds with dark results, bright deeds with bright results, and both dark and bright deeds with both dark and bright results. These are called neither dark nor bright deeds with neither dark nor bright results, which lead to the ending of deeds.
ឥមានិ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, ចត្តារិ កម្មានិ មយា សយំ អភិញ្ញា សច្ឆិកត្វា បវេទិតានី”តិ។
These are the four kinds of deeds that I declare, having realized them with my own insight.”
