සාවත්ථිනිදානං.
At Sāvatthī.
ඒකමන්තං නිසින්නෝ ඛෝ සෝ භික්ඛු භගවන්තං ඒතදවෝච:
Seated to one side, that bhikkhu said to the Buddha:
“කෝ නු ඛෝ, භන්තේ, හේතු, කෝ පච්චයෝ, යේන ම්(අ)ඉධේකච්චේ සංසේදජා නාගා උපෝසථං උපවසන්ති වෝස්සට්ඨකායා ච භවන්තී”ති?
“Sir, what is the cause, what is the reason why some moisture-born dragons keep the Uposatha day, having transformed their bodies?”
(සබ්බං විත්ථාරේතබ්බං.)
