සාවත්ථිනිදානං.
At Sāvatthī.
“වලාහකකායිකේ වෝ, භික්ඛවේ, දේවේ දේසේස්සාමි. තං සුණාථ.
“Bhikkhus, I will teach you about the gods of the clouds. Listen …
කතමේ ච, භික්ඛවේ, වලාහකකායිකා දේවා? සන්ති, භික්ඛවේ, සීතවලාහකා දේවා; සන්ති උණ්හවලාහකා දේවා; සන්ති අබ්භවලාහකා දේවා; සන්ති වාතවලාහකා දේවා; සන්ති වස්සවලාහකා දේවා—ඉමේ වුච්චන්ති, භික්ඛවේ, ‘වලාහකකායිකා දේවා(අ)”ති.
And what are the gods of the clouds? There are gods of the cool clouds, warm clouds, thunder clouds, windy clouds, and rainy clouds. These are called the gods of the clouds.”
