Sappurisadhammasutta
The Teaching of the Good Persons
“सप्पुरिसधम्मञ्च वो, भिक्खवे, देसेस्सामि असप्पुरिसधम्मञ्च। तं सुणाथ …पे… कतमो च, भिक्खवे, असप्पुरिसधम्मो? पाणातिपातो …पे… मिच्छादिट्ठि—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, असप्पुरिसधम्मो।
“Sappurisadhammañca vo, bhikkhave, desessāmi asappurisadhammañca. Taṁ suṇātha …pe… katamo ca, bhikkhave, asappurisadhammo? Pāṇātipāto …pe… micchādiṭṭhi—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, asappurisadhammo.
“Bhikkhus, I will teach you the teaching of the good persons and the teaching of the bad persons. And what is the teaching of the bad persons? Killing living creatures … wrong view. This is the teaching of the bad persons.
कतमो च, भिक्खवे, सप्पुरिसधम्मो? पाणातिपाता वेरमणी …पे… सम्मादिट्ठि—अयं वुच्चति, भिक्खवे, सप्पुरिसधम्मो”ति।
Katamo ca, bhikkhave, sappurisadhammo? Pāṇātipātā veramaṇī …pe… sammādiṭṭhi—ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, sappurisadhammo”ti.
And what is the teaching of the good persons? Not killing living creatures … right view. This is the teaching of the good persons.”
