At Sāvatthī.
“သန္တုဋ္ဌာယံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကဿပေါ ဣတရီတရေန စီဝရေန, ဣတရီတရစီဝရသန္တုဋ္ဌိယာ စ ဝဏ္ဏဝါဒီ; န စ စီဝရဟေတု အနေသနံ အပ္ပတိရူပံ အာပဇ္ဇတိ; အလဒ္ဓါ စ စီဝရံ န ပရိတဿတိ; လဒ္ဓါ စ စီဝရံ အဂဓိတော အမုစ္ဆိတော အနဇ္ဈာပန္နော အာဒီနဝဒဿာဝီ နိဿရဏပညော ပရိဘုဉ္ဇတိ၊
“Bhikkhus, Kassapa is content with any kind of robe, and praises such contentment. He doesn’t try to get hold of a robe in an improper way. He doesn’t get upset if he doesn’t get a robe. And if he does get a robe, he uses it untied, uninfatuated, unattached, seeing the drawback, and understanding the escape.
သန္တုဋ္ဌာယံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ကဿပေါ ဣတရီတရေန ပိဏ္ဍပါတေန, ဣတရီတရပိဏ္ဍပါတသန္တုဋ္ဌိယာ စ ဝဏ္ဏဝါဒီ; န စ ပိဏ္ဍပါတဟေတု အနေသနံ အပ္ပတိရူပံ အာပဇ္ဇတိ; အလဒ္ဓါ စ ပိဏ္ဍပါတံ န ပရိတဿတိ; လဒ္ဓါ စ ပိဏ္ဍပါတံ အဂဓိတော အမုစ္ဆိတော အနဇ္ဈာပန္နော အာဒီနဝဒဿာဝီ နိဿရဏပညော ပရိဘုဉ္ဇတိ၊
Kassapa is content with any kind of almsfood …

Kassapa is content with any kind of medicines and supplies for the sick …
တသ္မာတိဟ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဧဝံ သိက္ခိတဗ္ဗံ: ‘သန္တုဋ္ဌာ ဘဝိဿာမ ဣတရီတရေန စီဝရေန, ဣတရီတရစီဝရသန္တုဋ္ဌိယာ စ ဝဏ္ဏဝါဒိနော; န စ စီဝရဟေတု အနေသနံ အပ္ပတိရူပံ အာပဇ္ဇိဿာမ; အလဒ္ဓါ စ စီဝရံ န စ ပရိတဿိဿာမ; လဒ္ဓါ စ စီဝရံ အဂဓိတာ အမုစ္ဆိတာ အနဇ္ဈာပန္နာ အာဒီနဝဒဿာဝိနော နိဿရဏပညာ ပရိဘုဉ္ဇိဿာမ'၊
So you should train like this: ‘We will be content with any kind of robe, and praise such contentment. We won’t try to get hold of a robe in an improper way. We won’t get upset if we don’t get a robe. And if we do get a robe, we’ll use it untied, uninfatuated, unattached, seeing the drawback, and understanding the escape.’

‘သန္တုဋ္ဌာ ဘဝိဿာမ ဣတရီတရေန ပိဏ္ဍပါတေန …ပေ… သန္တုဋ္ဌာ ဘဝိဿာမ ဣတရီတရေန သေနာသနေန …ပေ… သန္တုဋ္ဌာ ဘဝိဿာမ ဣတရီတရေန ဂိလာနပ္ပစ္စယဘေသဇ္ဇပရိက္ခာရေန, ဣတရီတရဂိလာနပ္ပစ္စယဘေသဇ္ဇပရိက္ခာရသန္တုဋ္ဌိယာ စ ဝဏ္ဏဝါဒိနော; န စ ဂိလာနပ္ပစ္စယဘေသဇ္ဇပရိက္ခာရဟေတု အနေသနံ အပ္ပတိရူပံ အာပဇ္ဇိဿာမ အလဒ္ဓါ စ ဂိလာနပ္ပစ္စယဘေသဇ္ဇပရိက္ခာရံ န ပရိတဿိဿာမ; လဒ္ဓါ စ ဂိလာနပ္ပစ္စယဘေသဇ္ဇပရိက္ခာရံ အဂဓိတာ အမုစ္ဆိတာ အနဇ္ဈာပန္နာ အာဒီနဝဒဿာဝိနော နိဿရဏပညာ ပရိဘုဉ္ဇိဿာမာ'တိ၊ ဧဝဉှိ ဝေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သိက္ခိတဗ္ဗံ၊ ကဿပေန ဝါ ဟိ ဝေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဩဝဒိဿာမိ ယော ဝါ ပနဿ ကဿပသဒိသော, ဩဝဒိတေဟိ စ ပန ဝေါ တထတ္တာယ ပဋိပဇ္ဇိတဗ္ဗန်”တိ၊
‘We will be content with any kind of almsfood …’ ‘We will be content with any kind of lodging …’ ‘We will be content with any kind of medicines and supplies for the sick …’ That’s how you should train. I will exhort you with the example of Kassapa or someone like him. You should practice accordingly.”
