Things to be Realized
“ចត្តារោមេ, ភិក្ខវេ, សច្ឆិករណីយា ធម្មា។ កតមេ ចត្តារោ?
“Bhikkhus, these four things should be realized. What four?
អត្ថិ, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មា កាយេន សច្ឆិករណីយា; អត្ថិ, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មា សតិយា សច្ឆិករណីយា; អត្ថិ, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មា ចក្ខុនា សច្ឆិករណីយា; អត្ថិ, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មា បញ្ញាយ សច្ឆិករណីយា។
There are things to be realized with direct meditative experience. There are things to be realized with recollection. There are things to be realized with vision. There are things to be realized with wisdom.
កតមេ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មា កាយេន សច្ឆិករណីយា? អដ្ឋ វិមោក្ខា, ភិក្ខវេ, កាយេន សច្ឆិករណីយា។
What things are to be realized with direct meditative experience? The eight liberations.
កតមេ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មា សតិយា សច្ឆិករណីយា? បុព្ពេនិវាសោ, ភិក្ខវេ, សតិយា សច្ឆិករណីយោ។
What things are to be realized with recollection? Past lives.
កតមេ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មា ចក្ខុនា សច្ឆិករណីយា? សត្តានំ ចុតូបបាតោ, ភិក្ខវេ, ចក្ខុនា សច្ឆិករណីយោ។
What things are to be realized with vision? The passing away and rebirth of sentient beings.
កតមេ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មា បញ្ញាយ សច្ឆិករណីយា? អាសវានំ ខយោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ញាយ សច្ឆិករណីយោ។
What things are to be realized with wisdom? The ending of defilements.
ឥមេ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, ចត្តារោ សច្ឆិករណីយា ធម្មា”តិ។
These are the four things to be realized.”
