Under Her Thumb
“បញ្ចិមានិ, ភិក្ខវេ, មាតុគាមស្ស ពលានិ។ កតមានិ បញ្ច? រូបពលំ, ភោគពលំ, ញាតិពលំ, បុត្តពលំ, សីលពលំ—ឥមានិ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ច មាតុគាមស្ស ពលានិ។ ឥមេហិ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ចហិ ពលេហិ សមន្នាគតោ មាតុគាមោ សាមិកំ បសយ្ហ អគារំ អជ្ឈាវសតី”តិ។
“Bhikkhus, there are these five powers of a female. What five? Attractiveness, wealth, relatives, children, and ethical behavior. These are the five powers of a female. A female living at home with these five powers has her husband under her thumb.”
