“ปญฺจิมานิ, ภิกฺขเว, อินฺทฺริยานิ ภาวิตานิ พหุลีกตานิ อทฺธานปริญฺญาย สํวตฺตนฺติฯ กตมานิ ปญฺจ? สทฺธินฺทฺริยํ …เป… ปญฺญินฺทฺริยํ—อิมานิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจินฺทฺริยานิ ภาวิตานิ พหุลีกตานิ อทฺธานปริญฺญาย สํวตฺตนฺตี”ติฯ
“Bhikkhus, when these five faculties are developed and cultivated they lead to the complete understanding of the course of time. What five? The faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, samādhi, and wisdom. When these five faculties are developed and cultivated they lead to the complete understanding of the course of time.”
