The Bypass
“សបរិក្កមនោ អយំ, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មោ, នាយំ ធម្មោ អបរិក្កមនោ។ កថញ្ច, ភិក្ខវេ, សបរិក្កមនោ អយំ ធម្មោ, នាយំ ធម្មោ អបរិក្កមនោ? បាណាតិបាតិស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, បាណាតិបាតា វេរមណី បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ អទិន្នាទាយិស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, អទិន្នាទានា វេរមណី បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ កាមេសុមិច្ឆាចារិស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, កាមេសុមិច្ឆាចារា វេរមណី បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ មុសាវាទិស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, មុសាវាទា វេរមណី បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ បិសុណវាចស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, បិសុណាយ វាចាយ វេរមណី បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ ផរុសវាចស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, ផរុសាយ វាចាយ វេរមណី បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ សម្ផប្បលាបិស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, សម្ផប្បលាបា វេរមណី បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ អភិជ្ឈាលុស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, អនភិជ្ឈា បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ ព្យាបន្នចិត្តស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, អព្យាបាទោ បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ មិច្ឆាទិដ្ឋិស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, សម្មាទិដ្ឋិ បរិក្កមនំ ហោតិ។ ឯវំ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, សបរិក្កមនោ អយំ ធម្មោ, នាយំ ធម្មោ អបរិក្កមនោ”តិ។
“Bhikkhus, this teaching provides a bypass, it doesn’t lack a bypass. And how does this teaching provide a bypass, not lacking a bypass? Not killing living creatures bypasses killing living creatures. Not stealing bypasses stealing. Avoiding sexual misconduct bypasses sexual misconduct. Not lying bypasses lying. Avoiding divisive speech bypasses divisive speech. Avoiding harsh speech bypasses harsh speech. Avoiding talking nonsense bypasses talking nonsense. Contentment bypasses covetousness. Good will bypasses ill will. Right view bypasses wrong view. That’s how this teaching provides a bypass, it doesn’t lack a bypass.”
