Living With Self-Assurance
“පඤ්චහි, භික්ඛවේ, ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ මාතුගාමෝ විසාරදෝ අගාරං අජ්ඣාවසති. කතමේහි පඤ්චහි? පාණාතිපාතා පටිවිරතෝ ච හෝති, අදින්නාදානා පටිවිරතෝ ච හෝති, කාමේසුමිච්ඡාචාරා පටිවිරතෝ ච හෝති, මුසාවාදා පටිවිරතෝ ච හෝති, සුරාමේරයමජ්ජප්පමාදට්ඨානා පටිවිරතෝ ච හෝති—ඉමේහි ඛෝ, භික්ඛවේ, පඤ්චහි ධම්මේහි සමන්නාගතෝ මාතුගාමෝ විසාරදෝ අගාරං අජ්ඣාවසතී”ති.
“Bhikkhus, a female living at home with five qualities is self-assured. What five? She doesn’t kill living creatures, steal, commit sexual misconduct, lie, or consume alcoholic drinks that cause negligence. A female living at home with these five qualities is self-assured.”
