Chapter One
မဂ္ဂင်္ဂသုတ္တ
The Path
“ကတမော စ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အသင်္ခတဂါမိမဂ္ဂေါ? အရိယော အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကော မဂ္ဂေါ၊ အယံ ဝုစ္စတိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အသင်္ခတဂါမိမဂ္ဂေါ၊
“And what is the path that leads to the unconditioned? The noble eightfold path. This is called the path that leads to the unconditioned.
ဣတိ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဒေသိတံ ဝေါ မယာ အသင်္ခတံ, ဒေသိတော အသင်္ခတဂါမိမဂ္ဂေါ၊ ယံ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သတ္ထာရာ ကရဏီယံ သာဝကာနံ ဟိတေသိနာ အနုကမ္ပကေန အနုကမ္ပံ ဥပါဒါယ ကတံ ဝေါ တံ မယာ၊ ဧတာနိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ရုက္ခမူလာနိ, ဧတာနိ သုညာဂါရာနိ၊ ဈာယထ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, မာ ပမာဒတ္ထ; မာ ပစ္ဆာ ဝိပ္ပဋိသာရိနော အဟုဝတ္ထ၊ အယံ ဝေါ အမှာကံ အနုသာသနီ”တိ၊
So, bhikkhus, I’ve taught you the unconditioned and the path that leads to the unconditioned. Out of compassion, I’ve done what a teacher should do who wants what’s best for their disciples. Here are these roots of trees, and here are these empty huts. Practice jhāna, bhikkhus! Don’t be negligent! Don’t regret it later! This is my instruction to you.”

အသင်္ခတသံယုတ္တဿ ပဌမော ဝဂ္ဂေါ၊
တဿုဒ္ဒါနံ
ကာယော သမထော သဝိတက္ကော, သုညတော သတိပဋ္ဌာနာ; သမ္မပ္ပဓာနာ ဣဒ္ဓိပါဒါ, ဣန္ဒြိယဗလဗောဇ္ဈင်္ဂါ; မဂ္ဂေန ဧကာဒသမံ, တဿုဒ္ဒါနံ ပဝုစ္စတိ၊
