“ឥធាហំ, អាវុសោ, គិជ្ឈកូដា បព្ពតា ឱរោហន្តោ អទ្ទសំ បុរិសំ គូថកូបេ និមុគ្គំ ឧភោហិ ហត្ថេហិ គូថំ ខាទន្តំ …បេ…
“Just now, friend, as I was descending from Vulture’s Peak Mountain I saw a man sunk in a sewer, eating dung with both hands. …” …
ឯសោ, ភិក្ខវេ, សត្តោ ឥមស្មិំយេវ រាជគហេ ទុដ្ឋព្រាហ្មណោ អហោសិ។ សោ កស្សបស្ស សម្មាសម្ពុទ្ធស្ស បាវចនេ ភិក្ខុសង្ឃំ ភត្តេន និមន្តេត្វា ទោណិយោ គូថស្ស បូរាបេត្វា ឯតទវោច—អហោ ភោន្តោ យាវទត្ថំ ភុញ្ជន្តុ ចេវ ហរន្តុ ចាៜតិ …បេ…។
“That being used to be a nasty brahmin right here in Rājagaha. In the time of the Buddha Kassapa’s dispensation he invited the Saṅgha of bhikkhus for a meal. He filled a trough with dung and said: ‘My good men, eat as much as you like, and take what’s left.’ …”
