Mastery of the Mind (2nd)
“សត្តហិ, ភិក្ខវេ, ធម្មេហិ សមន្នាគតោ សារិបុត្តោ ចិត្តំ វសេ វត្តេតិ, នោ ច សារិបុត្តោ ចិត្តស្ស វសេន វត្តតិ។ កតមេហិ សត្តហិ? ឥធ, ភិក្ខវេ, សារិបុត្តោ សមាធិកុសលោ ហោតិ, សមាធិស្ស សមាបត្តិកុសលោ, សមាធិស្ស ឋិតិកុសលោ, សមាធិស្ស វុដ្ឋានកុសលោ, សមាធិស្ស កល្យាណកុសលោ, សមាធិស្ស គោចរកុសលោ, សមាធិស្ស អភិនីហារកុសលោ ហោតិ។ ឥមេហិ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, សត្តហិ ធម្មេហិ សមន្នាគតោ សារិបុត្តោ ចិត្តំ វសេ វត្តេតិ, នោ ច សារិបុត្តោ ចិត្តស្ស វសេន វត្តតី”តិ។
“Bhikkhus, having seven qualities Sāriputta has mastered his mind and is not mastered by it. What seven? Sāriputta is skilled at samādhi, skilled in entering samādhi, skilled in remaining in samādhi, skilled in emerging from samādhi, skilled in gladdening the mind for samādhi, skilled in the meditation subjects for samādhi, and skilled in projecting the mind purified by samādhi. Having these seven qualities Sāriputta has mastered his mind and is not mastered by it.”
