Dhamma Speakers
“จตฺตาโรเม, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺมกถิกาฯ กตเม จตฺตาโร?
“Bhikkhus, there are these four Dhamma speakers. What four?
อิธ, ภิกฺขเว, เอกจฺโจ ธมฺมกถิโก อปฺปญฺจ ภาสติ อสหิตญฺจ; ปริสา จสฺส น กุสลา โหติ สหิตาสหิตสฺสฯ เอวรูโป, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺมกถิโก เอวรูปาย ปริสาย ธมฺมกถิโกเตฺวว สงฺขํ คจฺฉติฯ
One Dhamma speaker speaks little and off topic. And their assembly can’t tell what’s on topic and what’s off topic. Such an assembly regards such a Dhamma speaker simply as a Dhamma speaker.
อิธ ปน, ภิกฺขเว, เอกจฺโจ ธมฺมกถิโก อปฺปญฺจ ภาสติ สหิตญฺจ; ปริสา จสฺส กุสลา โหติ สหิตาสหิตสฺสฯ เอวรูโป, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺมกถิโก เอวรูปาย ปริสาย ธมฺมกถิโกเตฺวว สงฺขํ คจฺฉติฯ
