Should Be Seen
“បញ្ចិមានិ, ភិក្ខវេ, ឥន្ទ្រិយានិ។ កតមានិ បញ្ច? សទ្ធិន្ទ្រិយំ …បេ… បញ្ញិន្ទ្រិយំ។
“Bhikkhus, there are these five faculties. What five? The faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, samādhi, and wisdom.
កត្ថ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, សទ្ធិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ? ចតូសុ សោតាបត្តិយង្គេសុ—ឯត្ថ សទ្ធិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ។
And where should the faculty of faith be seen? In the four factors of stream-entry.
កត្ថ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, វីរិយិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ? ចតូសុ សម្មប្បធានេសុ—ឯត្ថ វីរិយិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ។
And where should the faculty of energy be seen? In the four right efforts.
កត្ថ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, សតិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ? ចតូសុ សតិបដ្ឋានេសុ—ឯត្ថ សតិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ។
And where should the faculty of mindfulness be seen? In the four kinds of mindfulness meditation.
កត្ថ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, សមាធិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ? ចតូសុ ឈានេសុ—ឯត្ថ សមាធិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ។
And where should the faculty of samādhi be seen? In the four jhānas.
កត្ថ ច, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ញិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ? ចតូសុ អរិយសច្ចេសុ—ឯត្ថ បញ្ញិន្ទ្រិយំ ទដ្ឋព្ពំ។
And where should the faculty of wisdom be seen? In the four noble truths.
ឥមានិ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, បញ្ចិន្ទ្រិយានី”តិ។
These are the five faculties.”
