Situations
“จตฺตาริมานิ, ภิกฺขเว, จกฺกานิ, เยหิ สมนฺนาคตานํ เทวมนุสฺสานํ จตุจกฺกํ วตฺตติ, เยหิ สมนฺนาคตา เทวมนุสฺสา นจิรเสฺสว มหนฺตตฺตํ เวปุลฺลตฺตํ ปาปุณนฺติ โภเคสุฯ กตมานิ จตฺตาริ? ปติรูปเทสวาโส, สปฺปุริสาวสฺสโย, อตฺตสมฺมาปณิธิ, ปุพฺเพ จ กตปุญฺญตา—
“Bhikkhus, there are these four situations. When these situations come about, any god or human who takes advantage of them will soon acquire great and abundant wealth. What four? Living in a suitable region, relying on good people, being rightly resolved in oneself, and past merit.
อิมานิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, จตฺตาริ จกฺกานิ, เยหิ สมนฺนาคตานํ เทวมนุสฺสานํ จตุจกฺกํ วตฺตติ, เยหิ สมนฺนาคตา เทวมนุสฺสา นจิรเสฺสว มหนฺตตฺตํ เวปุลฺลตฺตํ ปาปุณนฺติ โภเคสูติฯ
These are the four situations. When these situations come about, any god or human who takes advantage of them will soon acquire great and abundant wealth.
ปติรูเป วเส เทเส, อริยมิตฺตกโร สิยา; สมฺมาปณิธิสมฺปนฺโน, ปุพฺเพ ปุญฺญกโต นโร; ธญฺญํ ธนํ ยโส กิตฺติ, สุขญฺเจตํธิวตฺตตี”ติฯ
When a person lives in a suitable region, making friends with noble ones, possessing right resolve, and having merit from the past, grain, riches, fame, reputation, and happiness come to them.”
