The Cosmos Is Not Eternal
သာဝတ္ထိနိဒါနံ၊
At Sāvatthī.
“ကိသ္မိံ နု ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သတိ, ကိံ ဥပါဒါယ, ကိံ အဘိနိဝိဿ ဧဝံ ဒိဋ္ဌိ ဥပ္ပဇ္ဇတိ: ‘အသဿတော လောကော'”တိ?
“Bhikkhus, when what exists, because of grasping what and insisting on what, does the view arise: ‘The cosmos is not eternal’?”
“ဘဂဝံမူလကာ နော, ဘန္တေ, ဓမ္မာ …ပေ…
“Our teachings are rooted in the Buddha. …”
“ရူပေ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, သတိ …ပေ… ဝိညာဏံ နိစ္စံ ဝါ အနိစ္စံ ဝါ”တိ? “အနိစ္စံ, ဘန္တေ” …ပေ…

“But by not grasping what’s impermanent, suffering, and perishable, would such a view arise?”
“နော ဟေတံ, ဘန္တေ”၊
“No, sir.”
“ယတော ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အရိယသာဝကဿ ဣမေသု စ ဌာနေသု ကင်္ခါ ပဟီနာ ဟောတိ, ဒုက္ခေပိဿ ကင်္ခါ ပဟီနာ ဟောတိ …ပေ… ဒုက္ခနိရောဓဂါမိနိယာ ပဋိပဒါယပိဿ ကင်္ခါ ပဟီနာ ဟောတိ—အယံ ဝုစ္စတိ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, အရိယသာဝကော သောတာပန္နော အဝိနိပါတဓမ္မော နိယတော သမ္ဗောဓိပရာယနော”တိ၊
“When a noble disciple has given up doubt in these six cases, and has given up doubt in suffering, its origin, its cessation, and the practice that leads to its cessation, they’re called a noble disciple who is a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, bound for awakening.”
