Desire for the Impermanent Interior
“ยํ, ภิกฺขเว, อนิจฺจํ, ตตฺร โว ฉนฺโท ปหาตพฺโพฯ กิญฺจ, ภิกฺขเว, อนิจฺจํ?
“Bhikkhus, you should give up desire for what is impermanent. And what is impermanent?
จกฺขุ, ภิกฺขเว, อนิจฺจํ; ตตฺร โว ฉนฺโท ปหาตพฺโพ …เป… ชิวฺหา อนิจฺจา; ตตฺร โว ฉนฺโท ปหาตพฺโพ …เป… มโน อนิจฺโจ; ตตฺร โว ฉนฺโท ปหาตพฺโพฯ ยํ, ภิกฺขเว, อนิจฺจํ, ตตฺร โว ฉนฺโท ปหาตพฺโพ”ติฯ
The eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind are impermanent: you should give up desire for them. You should give up desire for what is impermanent.”
