ဝေဒနာသုတ္တ

Feeling

သာဝတ္ထိနိဒါနံ၊

At Sāvatthī.

“တိဿော ဣမာ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, ဝေဒနာ၊ ကတမာ တိဿော? သုခါ ဝေဒနာ, ဒုက္ခာ ဝေဒနာ, အဒုက္ခမသုခါ ဝေဒနာ—ဣမာ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, တိဿော ဝေဒနာ၊

“Bhikkhus, there are these three feelings. What three? Pleasant, painful, and neutral feeling. These are the three feelings.

ဣမာသံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, တိဿန္နံ ဝေဒနာနံ ပရိညာယ အရိယော အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကော မဂ္ဂေါ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗော၊ ကတမော အရိယော အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကော မဂ္ဂေါ? သေယျထိဒံ—သမ္မာဒိဋ္ဌိ …ပေ… သမ္မာသမာဓိ၊

The noble eightfold path should be developed to completely understand these three feelings. What is the noble eightfold path? It is right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right samādhi.

ဣမာသံ ခေါ, ဘိက္ခဝေ, တိဿန္နံ ဝေဒနာနံ ပရိညာယ အရိယော အဋ္ဌင်္ဂိကော မဂ္ဂေါ ဘာဝေတဗ္ဗော”တိ၊

This noble eightfold path should be developed to completely understand these three feelings.”
