“ตีณิมานิ, ภิกฺขเว, ปฏิจฺฉนฺนานิ อาวหนฺติ, โน วิวฏานิฯ กตมานิ ตีณิ? มาตุคาโม, ภิกฺขเว, ปฏิจฺฉนฺโน อาวหติ, โน วิวโฏ; พฺราหฺมณานํ, ภิกฺขเว, มนฺตา ปฏิจฺฉนฺนา อาวหนฺติ, โน วิวฏา; มิจฺฉาทิฏฺฐิ, ภิกฺขเว, ปฏิจฺฉนฺนา อาวหติ, โน วิวฏาฯ อิมานิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ตีณิ ปฏิจฺฉนฺนานิ อาวหนฺติ, โน วิวฏานิฯ
“Bhikkhus, three things are conveyed under cover, not in the open. What three? Females are married with a veil, not unveiled. Brahmin hymns are conveyed under cover, not openly. Wrong view is conveyed under cover, not in the open. These three things are conveyed under cover, not in the open.
ตีณิมานิ, ภิกฺขเว, วิวฏานิ วิโรจนฺติ, โน ปฏิจฺฉนฺนานิฯ กตมานิ ตีณิ? จนฺทมณฺฑลํ, ภิกฺขเว, วิวฏํ วิโรจติ, โน ปฏิจฺฉนฺนํ; สูริยมณฺฑลํ, ภิกฺขเว, วิวฏํ วิโรจติ, โน ปฏิจฺฉนฺนํ; ตถาคตปฺปเวทิโต ธมฺมวินโย, ภิกฺขเว, วิวโฏ วิโรจติ, โน ปฏิจฺฉนฺโนฯ อิมานิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ตีณิ วิวฏานิ วิโรจนฺติ, โน ปฏิจฺฉนฺนานี”ติฯ
Three things shine in the open, not under cover. What three? The moon shines in the open, not under cover. The sun shines in the open, not under cover. The teaching and training proclaimed by a Realized One shine in the open, not under cover. These three things shine in the open, not under cover.”
