อเสขสุตฺต

“ปญฺจหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ภิกฺขุ อาหุเนโยฺย โหติ ปาหุเนโยฺย ทกฺขิเณโยฺย …เป… อนุตฺตรํ ปุญฺญกฺเขตฺตํ โลกสฺสฯ
“Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu with five qualities is worthy of offerings dedicated to the gods, worthy of hospitality, worthy of a religious donation, worthy of veneration with joined palms, and is the supreme field of merit for the world.
กตเมหิ, ปญฺจหิ? อิธ, ภิกฺขเว, ภิกฺขุ อเสเขน สีลกฺขนฺเธน สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, อเสเขน สมาธิกฺขนฺเธน สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, อเสเขน ปญฺญากฺขนฺเธน สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, อเสเขน วิมุตฺติกฺขนฺเธน สมนฺนาคโต โหติ, อเสเขน วิมุตฺติญาณทสฺสนกฺขนฺเธน สมนฺนาคโต โหติฯ อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ปญฺจหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ภิกฺขุ อาหุเนโยฺย โหติ …เป… อนุตฺตรํ ปุญฺญกฺเขตฺตํ โลกสฺสา”ติฯ
What five? It’s when they have the entire spectrum of the master’s ethics, samādhi, wisdom, freedom, and knowledge and vision of freedom. A bhikkhu with these five qualities … is the supreme field of merit for the world.”
