အာနန္ဒသုတ္တ
With Ānanda
သာဝတ္ထိနိဒါနံ၊
At Sāvatthī.
အထ ခေါ အာယသ္မာ အာနန္ဒော …ပေ… ဧကမန္တံ နိသိန္နံ ခေါ အာယသ္မန္တံ အာနန္ဒံ ဘဂဝါ ဧတဒဝေါစ:
And then Venerable Ānanda … sitting to one side, the Buddha said to him:
“သစေ တံ, အာနန္ဒ, ဧဝံ ပုစ္ဆေယျုံ: ‘ကတမေသံ, အာဝုသော အာနန္ဒ, ဓမ္မာနံ ဥပ္ပါဒေါ ပညာယတိ, ဝယော ပညာယတိ, ဌိတဿ အညထတ္တံ ပညာယတီ'တိ? ဧဝံ ပုဋ္ဌော တွံ, အာနန္ဒ, ကိန္တိ ဗျာကရေယျာသီ”တိ?
“Ānanda, suppose they were to ask you: ‘Friend Ānanda, what are the things for which arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident?’ How would you answer?”
“သစေ မံ, ဘန္တေ, ဧဝံ ပုစ္ဆေယျုံ: ‘ကတမေသံ, အာဝုသော အာနန္ဒ, ဓမ္မာနံ ဥပ္ပါဒေါ ပညာယတိ, ဝယော ပညာယတိ, ဌိတဿ အညထတ္တံ ပညာယတီ'တိ? ဧဝံ ပုဋ္ဌောဟံ, ဘန္တေ, ဧဝံ ဗျာကရေယျံ:
“Sir, suppose they were to ask me: ‘What are the things for which arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident?’ I’d answer like this:
‘ရူပဿ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, ဥပ္ပါဒေါ ပညာယတိ, ဝယော ပညာယတိ, ဌိတဿ အညထတ္တံ ပညာယတိ၊ ဝေဒနာယ … သညာယ … သင်္ခါရာနံ … ဝိညာဏဿ ဥပ္ပါဒေါ ပညာယတိ, ဝယော ပညာယတိ, ဌိတဿ အညထတ္တံ ပညာယတိ၊ ဣမေသံ ခေါ, အာဝုသော, ဓမ္မာနံ ဥပ္ပါဒေါ ပညာယတိ, ဝယော ပညာယတိ, ဌိတဿ အညထတ္တံ ပညာယတီ'တိ၊
‘Friend, the arising of form is evident, its vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. The arising of feeling … perception … functioning patterns … consciousness is evident, its vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. These are the things for which arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident.’
ဧဝံ ပုဋ္ဌောဟံ, ဘန္တေ, ဧဝံ ဗျာကရေယျန်”တိ၊
That’s how I’d answer such a question.”
“သာဓု သာဓု, အာနန္ဒ၊ ရူပဿ ခေါ, အာနန္ဒ, ဥပ္ပါဒေါ ပညာယတိ, ဝယော ပညာယတိ, ဌိတဿ အညထတ္တံ ပညာယတိ၊ ဝေဒနာယ … သညာယ … သင်္ခါရာနံ … ဝိညာဏဿ ဥပ္ပါဒေါ ပညာယတိ, ဝယော ပညာယတိ, ဌိတဿ အညထတ္တံ ပညာယတိ၊ ဣမေသံ ခေါ, အာနန္ဒ, ဓမ္မာနံ ဥပ္ပါဒေါ ပညာယတိ, ဝယော ပညာယတိ, ဌိတဿ အညထတ္တံ ပညာယတီတိ၊
“Good, good, Ānanda. The arising of form is evident, its vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. The arising of feeling … perception … functioning patterns … consciousness is evident, its vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident. These are the things for which arising is evident, vanishing is evident, and change while persisting is evident.
ဧဝံ ပုဋ္ဌော တွံ, အာနန္ဒ, ဧဝံ ဗျာကရေယျာသီ”တိ၊
