ตติยโมรนิวาปสุตฺต
At the Peacocks’ Feeding Ground (3rd)
“ตีหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ภิกฺขุ อจฺจนฺตนิฏฺโฐ โหติ อจฺจนฺตโยคกฺเขมี อจฺจนฺตพฺรหฺมจารี อจฺจนฺตปริโยสาโน เสฏฺโฐ เทวมนุสฺสานํฯ กตเมหิ ตีหิ? สมฺมาทิฏฺฐิยา, สมฺมาญาเณน, สมฺมาวิมุตฺติยา—
“Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu who has three qualities has reached the ultimate end, the ultimate sanctuary from the yoke, the ultimate spiritual life, the ultimate goal. They are the best among gods and humans. What three? Right view, right knowledge, and right freedom.
อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ตีหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ภิกฺขุ อจฺจนฺตนิฏฺโฐ โหติ อจฺจนฺตโยคกฺเขมี อจฺจนฺตพฺรหฺมจารี อจฺจนฺตปริโยสาโน เสฏฺโฐ เทวมนุสฺสานนฺ”ติฯ
A bhikkhu with these three qualities has reached the ultimate end, the ultimate sanctuary from the yoke, the ultimate spiritual life, the ultimate goal. They are the best among gods and humans.”
