ทุติยโมรนิวาปสุตฺต
At the Peacocks’ Feeding Ground (2nd)
“ตีหิ, ภิกฺขเว, ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ภิกฺขุ อจฺจนฺตนิฏฺโฐ โหติ อจฺจนฺตโยคกฺเขมี อจฺจนฺตพฺรหฺมจารี อจฺจนฺตปริโยสาโน เสฏฺโฐ เทวมนุสฺสานํฯ กตเมหิ ตีหิ? อิทฺธิปาฏิหาริเยน, อาเทสนาปาฏิหาริเยน, อนุสาสนีปาฏิหาริเยน—
“Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu who has three qualities has reached the ultimate end, the ultimate sanctuary from the yoke, the ultimate spiritual life, the ultimate goal. They are the best among gods and humans. What three? A demonstration of psychic power, a demonstration of revealing, and a demonstration of instruction.
อิเมหิ โข, ภิกฺขเว, ตีหิ ธมฺเมหิ สมนฺนาคโต ภิกฺขุ อจฺจนฺตนิฏฺโฐ โหติ อจฺจนฺตโยคกฺเขมี อจฺจนฺตพฺรหฺมจารี อจฺจนฺตปริโยสาโน เสฏฺโฐ เทวมนุสฺสานนฺ”ติฯ
A bhikkhu with these three qualities has reached the ultimate end, the ultimate sanctuary from the yoke, the ultimate spiritual life, the ultimate goal. They are the best among gods and humans.”
