សាវត្ថិយំ វិហរតិ។
At Sāvatthī.
“ទារុណោ, ភិក្ខវេ, លាភសក្ការសិលោកោ។
“Possessions, honor, and popularity are brutal …
លាភសក្ការសិលោកេន អភិភូតស្ស បរិយាទិណ្ណចិត្តស្ស, ភិក្ខវេ, ទេវទត្តស្ស កុសលមូលំ សមុច្ឆេទមគមា។
Devadatta cut off his skillful root because his mind was overcome and overwhelmed by possessions, honor, and popularity.
ឯវំ ទារុណោ ខោ, ភិក្ខវេ, លាភសក្ការសិលោកោ …បេ… សិក្ខិតព្ពន៑”តិ។
So brutal are possessions, honor, and popularity. …”
