बहुकारसुत्त

Bahukārasutta

Very Helpful

“चत्तारोमे, भिक्खवे, धम्मा मनुस्सभूतस्स बहुकारा होन्ति। कतमे चत्तारो? सप्पुरिससंसेवो, सद्धम्मसवनं, योनिसोमनसिकारो, धम्मानुधम्मप्पटिपत्ति—इमे खो, भिक्खवे, चत्तारो धम्मा मनुस्सभूतस्स बहुकारा होन्ती”ति।

“Cattārome, bhikkhave, dhammā manussabhūtassa bahukārā honti. Katame cattāro? Sappurisasaṁsevo, saddhammasavanaṁ, yonisomanasikāro, dhammānudhammappaṭipatti—Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro dhammā manussabhūtassa bahukārā hontī”ti.

“Bhikkhus, these four things are very helpful to a human being. What four? Associating with good people, listening to the true teaching, rational application of mind, and practicing in line with the teaching. These four things are very helpful to a human being.”
